Role Overview

We are seeking experienced Electrical Quality Engineers to join our dynamic quality team. The ideal candidates will have strong expertise in electrical quality inspections, testing, and documentation for large-scale project sites and manufacturing facilities. This role involves close coordination with project, procurement, and vendor teams to ensure strict adherence to quality standards and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site and factory quality inspections for transformers, power cables, EMS panels, ACDBs, RTCC panels, and related systems.
  • Perform visual and functional checks of switchgear components, batteries, HT panels, circuit breakers, APFC/PPC panels, and electrical enclosures.
  • Prepare and implement Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) and Control Plans.
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of electrical test and measuring instruments.
  • Handle third-party and government inspection processes as per project requirements.
  • Address customer complaints related to plant and site quality issues, and coordinate resolution of supplier non-conformities.
  • Review and prepare internal and witness test reports, supporting FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SAT (Site Acceptance Tests).
  • Manage incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities to ensure product and installation conformity.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with ISO, QMS, and organizational standards.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, apply relevant IS and IEC standards, and ensure compliance with applicable specifications.
  • Coordinate quality activities with cross-functional teams—Projects, Engineering, Procurement, and Vendors.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline.
  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience in electrical quality inspection, preferably in power, EPC, or renewable energy projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and working knowledge of ERP systems (Epicor, SAP preferred).
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes, ISO standards, and electrical safety regulations.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and vendor locations (approx. 15 days/month).
